Ok, so what the heck is coaching? Let me tell you plain and simple, what coaching is TO ME, but first let me tell you a little about me and my team.
My team is Run Pink Run Happy, that has been my blog name before I even became a coach, I love running, smiling, and my maiden name is Pinkney and so, naturally I love all things PINK. I highly believe in the saying, YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE. I love animals, (especially German Shepherds, GAHH they melt my heart), laughing, guacamole, peanut butter, chipotle, being a mooshy gooshy wifey, my family and friends, camping, hiking, running, lifting, and spreading the #perfectlyimperfect message. I am a total weirdo and I don’t try to hide it, I embrace it haha. I don’t take myself too seriously and honestly, MY VEIRDO (yes, it’s more fun to say that way) Vibe attracts some amazingly fun and loveable weirdos that have made my job the BEST job ever! I am so blessed to be able to say “I LOVE MY CO-WORKERS”. Not many people are lucky enough to say that, because you have no choice in that matter, usually!
I have battled eating disorders and a LOT of negative self talk, and now, I’m just on a mission to help as many women as I can to love the skin they’re in and love themselves AS THEY ARE, WHERE THEY ARE, while working on my own health and fitness goals. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being perfectly imperfect and realizing that if you are enough for God, you are enough for a-n-y-o-n-e.
I became a health coach when I was trying to work on myself, and I was working on coming out of that dark place. I still had a lot of negative thoughts about myself, but I was really trying to put a lot of emphasis on the fact that ATTITUDE is everything. I knew that my attitude could decide how my day would go, and I was putting a lot of effort into choosing POSITIVITY. I posted positive posts everyday, reminding myself and others of messages that I needed to hear such as, “don’t compare yourself to others, only compare yourself to you yesterday”. It is amazing that a “job” can help you love yourself while inspiring others.
Coaching to me, is helping other women (or men, but my target market is definitely females), love themselves, reach their goals, encouraging them on their journey, while working on yourself! It’s that simple, the BEST coaches are real. You don’t need a 6 pack, a degree in fitness or nutrition, or a “sales” background. The cool thing is, real people know what it’s like to struggle, to get kicked down, and how to get back up. You are just a work in progress, and as you share your results from our amazing fitness and nutrition bootcamp, people are going to want to know what you’re doing and be a part of it! So, I know some of you may be thinking, “I couldn’t do that, because…” I GOTCHU COVERED GIRL. I created 60 second videos for each common objection I get so, take a few minutes to see why that objection in your head is an excuse and not a valid reason. LOOK, I had $7 in my bank account when I started, I could have said, “I don’t have the money” but I didn’t. I put it on the credit card and never looked back. I paid for my wedding in cash solely from my health coaching business (that is a big freaking deal), quit my job, and recently my husband quit his job as a restaurant manager, where he could NEVER get time off and worked until 2 or 3 in the morning. He is working towards being a real estate broker, and I can support him as he takes courses, and focuses on passing his exams. If I can do it as a girl who voted MOST CONFUSED CLASS OF 2005, bulimic and depressed, trust me girlfriend, YOU CAN.
